Artist Statement

I am a multidisciplinary artist working in both two- and three- dimensional spaces. I often examine the abstract presence of consumerism and the human condition through the lens of the screen and media. By centering contemporary human associations with digital media and consumerism, I explore how the screen has become a part of our everyday lives.

I sample and remix recognizable imagery sourced from social media, television, and daily life, incorporating my own stylistic language to ensure constant conversation throughout my work across all mediums. My experimental practice blends stylistic qualities of digital realism and fine art to create an accessible entry point for the viewer, inviting deeper reflections on the pervasive nature of our consumer driven culture.

In recent years, I have been working journalistically in the realms of politics and activism, producing commentaries on national and international current events through the lens of media. By sourcing imagery and articles from various forms of digital media, I aim to create installation-based environments that blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture, questioning what is real and what is fabricated in reflection to how we interact with information today. Through the use of humor and irony, my work seeks to foster open dialogue and promote healthy discussion between the viewer and the discourse of our current environment.
